A weekend focused on worshiping and praising God in song.
There are many talented musicians in the world
today and some beautiful Christian music. However, most
of us do not have the talent to cut a CD or sing in a small group. On the weekend
of November 2nd-4th you will have the opportunity to join hundreds
of Christians from around the country for an afternoon of
praise and worship
where you are participating in a 4 part harmony a
cappella chorus.
“Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud
to the Rock of our salvation.” (Psalm 95:1)
The Psalms recognize
the importance of expressing our reverence for God’s power, glory,
mercy and love through song. This is the foundation for 1000
Voices. The highlight of
the weekend is a three-hour praise and worship service that will
include prayers,
scripture
readings, and a lot of singing. On Friday night and Saturday morning,
free workshops will be offered on new praise and worship songs,
new children's spiritual songs, and basic song leading techniques.
Don't know how to read music? Not sure if you are a Soprano
or a Bass? You don't need to be a great singer to praise God,
singing and making melody in your heart. The
Lord encourages us to admonish, uplift and teach one another in
psalms, hymns and
spiritual songs. I encourage you to join us regardless of the
level of your singing abilities. The weekend
will provide many
benefits including:
- A powerful event that will touch you and your family
- Share the story of the Bible with your family, friends and neighbors
- A positive message in a time of degrading
morals and personal disappointments
- Learn new praise & worship songs
- Surrounded by hundreds of Christians singing and worshipping
God
- Become a better song leader
- Learn new children's spiritual songs
We
are so blessed in this country to hear preaching from the
word of God, study His word, and attend worship services. 1000 Voices is just another
avenue to show our Heavenly Father how much we love Him. He deserves to be
praised:
“For
the Lord is the great God, the great King above all gods. In His hand are the
depths of the earth, and the mountain peaks belong to Him. The sea is his, for
he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. Come, let us bow down in
worship, let us kneel before the Lord our Maker; for he is our God and we are
the people of his pasture, the flock under his care.” (Psalm 95:3-7)
