We regret that we have to move from the Winston Salem, Kernersville area for the 2010 event. However, the venue we’ve used the past few years is not available this year due to renovations.

We are very excited about the Carbarrus Arena & Events center in Concord North Carolina (just north of Charlotte).  It’s about 60 miles south of Winston Salem (where the past 9 events have been).  The venue fits our event perfectly and we are excited to be moving here for our 10th year.

We will use the Carbarrus Arena for all the events on Saturday November 6th, but the Friday night events will be held at the Concord church of Christ off of Poplar Tent road in Concord.  We will be posting details concerning the schedule, accommodations, etc.. soon.  We are recommending that people book hotels off of exit 60 in Concord, and we will have group discounts available by September 1st.

Carbarrus Arena - Gold Hall A

As you see in the picture to the right, Gold Hall at the Carbarrus Arena should prove to be great for acoustics.  It has clean and plentiful public restrooms, family areas, and plentiful parking, and a roomy lobby.

More details coming soon.  We are working on getting the schedule nailed down, discounts at hotels, and food options for the weekend.

If you want to start making travel arrangements, you should start looking at flying in and out of the Charlotte Douglas Airport, or the Greensboro Airport (about 70 miles away).

The new location looks great, can’t wait to try it out. I just hope the acoustics are good =)

From the look of the building, I think the acoustics might be “off the hook” vaulted ceilings and cement floors can be beneficial…however I must admit that in my years of singing nothing beats singing at those rest stop along the highway. They are built cheaply but there’s something about those concrete bunker walls that resonates the acoustics.
